WHAT OUR BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OFFER

Our clubs offer a variety of programs and services designed to meet the needs of young people in our community. Our programs and activities strive to provide "fun with a purpose." They address issues which affect today's youth and give them the tools needed to face the daily challenges of growing up. Club members participating in our programs build confidence, gain useful skills, and most importantly, enjoy themselves on a daily basis.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE

DEDICATED YOUTH FACILITIES
We serve more than 3,000 young people at three clubs that are dedicated to the educational, emotional and social development of our community's youth.

DAILY ACCESS TO PROGRAMS
Our Clubs are open after school, and during summer and vacations when kids have free time and need productive outlets.  The Boys & Girls Clubs of
Chula Vista follow the Chula Vista Elementary School District calendar.  Our main Club is open with summer and vacation hours whenever all of the CVESD schools are closed for teacher days, conferences or no school days. (Check Club's observance of holidays schedule for days actually closed)

PROFESSIONAL STAFF
Each branch has a core staff of trained youth development professionals who provide guidance and supervision while serving as role models and mentors.

AFFORDABLE PROGRAMS
Participation in the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Chula Vista is available to all young people between the ages of 6 - 18. Membership fees are $60 for individual membership or $75 for two or more children in the same family.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
Over the past 50 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chula Vista has been providing youth with programs to help them become responsible citizens and “Tomorrow's Leaders.” By using the youth development strategy created by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, all programs strive to instill in members the following:

  •  Sense of Competence - the feeling there is something they can do and do well.
  • Sense of Usefulness - the opportunity to do something of value for other people.
  • Sense of Belonging - a setting where young people know they "fit" and are accepted.
  • Sense of Power or Influence - a chance to be heard and to influence decisions.
